Autism Barbers Assemble
For most people, getting their haircut is a mundane and routine task that you do without a second thought, but for many people with autism it can be a process filled with anxiety and fear. Sometimes, it’s fear of the unknown process, other times it’s sensory issues.
Here at RQ’s Barbershop, we’re passionate about what we do and it shines through in the awesome work we provide for our customers. From making people look sharp for their weekend to looking awesome on that special event, we love chatting with our customers and we consider you ALL friends!

This chap in a dashing red super man suit represents an awesome and dedicated organisation called ‘Autism Barbers Assemble’ (ABA, for short!).
ABA is a not for profit organisation, started by a barber named James Williams. As well as using their own talent and skill to give awesome haircuts to autistic children, the ABA team travel around the UK raising awareness and sharing techniques with other barbers, so they too can create a safe space for autistic children and their parents.
The not for profit organisation is dedicated to making sure that every person with autism has access to fear free haircuts.
Like many other awesome barbers, we’re proud to a part of ABA!

Good Morning Lucy
Have just read that you cut hair of children on the autistic spectrum. I wonder if I can book an appointment for my grandson Joshua age 12. I have always cut his hair, but now he is a senior school wonder if he should have a professional cut. Would you suggest an early appointment for the first time.
Look forward to hearing from you. Janice
